Thanks for approving my membership to the esteemed pipe forum. I dabbled with pipes many years ago. It just didn't fit me then. Now that I am a little more patient and distinguished looking I want to try again. I've decided it might be interesting to try restoring some vintage pipes. I've done a little research and think I can do the simple stuff. buffing polishing and the like. I might need a couple simple tools. Just won a nice reamer combination tool on ebay. Not the fold up job. Something more comprehensive.
My main problem (I think) is with the tobacco. Back in the day, I had a friend who smoked a Black Cavendish mixture. I liked it then. But today I'm thinking I might something with a more straight tobacco flavor. I guess I need a pipe first. Then I'll start researching tobacco. I had an idea I'd find out everything I need to know right here. After reading a couple threads, I can tell I was right! I am looking forward to learned and informative discourse!! |
