The predominant fills are on the left and bottom shank area. There are some smaller ones at the crack on the bowl bottom. This is very educational. It appears that this was one CRAP piece of briar. The finisher had to work hard to make it look decent. The crack was there BEFORE smoking. I did a light stain and waxed with carnauba. I'll try smoking it and see how it is. My total investment is $8 and a little time. |
