If you've read through our thread of last week or so Cigar Weekly A Friendly Port......and if you've looked at the "Management" page, you've read our basic philosophy and mission here at CW.

Basically we are a cigar-related periodical publication, a magazine. That's how CW was started, and we seek to continue that. In the process we've built a nice community, here. And now, we want to wed the two even better. Over the past couple years, you all, our members, have been our authors and journalists on the magazine side of the publication. We're not a high budget, glossy, national powerhouse print journal.

We liken ourselves, and many of you, our members, as the "Everyman Cigar Smoker." Some of us can't afford $7-10 cigars, some of us indulge this luxury on a shoestring, yet recognize the timeless nature, the genuine pleasure of the senses and gustatory pleasures of a fine cigar.

Even those who live paycheck-to-paycheck like a moment of relaxation with the finer things. But we have to be more circumspect in how we pursue it. Where other publications leave you for the jet-set, fashion-plate, sort of Beau Brummel, we say to you, Everyman Smoker, welcome, we're making a place for you, too.
