Any experience with Vissani wine fridges?

Getting closer to buying a house. All the basemented ones are out. So it look like I'll need a fridge to store my wines, champagnes, and beers for aging.

Looking at appliances yesterday at Home Depot, I saw they had some really good prices on Magic Chef and a brand called Vissani.

Magic Chef doesn't get too flattering of reviews. But I can't seem to find hardly any feedback on Vissani.

It appears to be a Home Depot exclusive brand. I've found one site with reviews, only real info is that it seems to perform better than Danby, which isn't saying much judging by the Danby reviews I've seen.

You can't tell from the pic, but from seeing them at the store, the glass has a polarized tint. I'm not too worried about light, because the house we want to buy has an enormous pantry and it's probably going to get stuck in the corner of it.

Hell, it's so damn cheap, I must just try it out as a starter wine cooler. Though I'll probably take some shelves out and store some of my corked beers and sparkling wine upright.

If it ends up sucking for storing wine.....I can always convert into a new humidor.


Just curious if anyone had bought one and tried it out. I know there was apparently a big Black Friday special on them back in November.
