Can I use Boveda along with a Credo?

Boveda website says no.

You could, but why? The credo will just release moisture and the bovida will try to balance things out, until it can't anymore.

Duuuude! Shitcan the Credo and get some 65% beads! Credo is ancient humidor technology.

Is this your new humidor with the screwy RH? The Credo is likely the whole problem. Beads and distilled water is the way to go.

I have always had good results with Credos. However I am desperate. I placed like seven overseas orders in the past month. I have tons of Habanos. So I ordered three of these (two for my large humidor and one for the new humidor.) I hope they work or else I am coming after you!

Ha! I'm not worried. My first Credo went bad after about 4 years and leaked all over my humidor. Since then, I've been using beads for a long time. In most cases the same beads. And they still work to an exacting standard. No more funky chemicals! No more leaking humidifiers!
I am a bead-vangelist!

first, relax, your cigars will be fine, a few weeks or more with the humidity low won't ruin them. Trust me from experience. Really they are tougher than you think. The containers they get shipped in and the planes they get sent in don't have beads, credos, or anything.

second, how many cigars does your humi hold? If it is large to huge I would consider active humidification (the deal with the motor, fan, and a water reservoir) like Cigar Oasis).

I used credos and sponges with 50/50 for years and I gave up and went to beads (I use kitty litter), they work well and are easier in general to use (unless you spill them on a tile floor). My cabinet humidors (now in storage) used active humidification like a cigar store uses. Those hold I think 2500 cigars each.

Boveda plus credo makes no sense at all like Big John explained, great idea but won't work.
