Wernesgruner sounds like a decent pils; not necessarily earth-shaking, but if you live in Bier Hel, take what you can get.
At some point, though, you have to learn to give beer respect. You can have cheap, or you can have good. Like wine or, hell, anything else. You get what you pay for. If you really love beer, stop being such a cheap fugger. Life is too short to drink crap beer just because it costs thirty cents less a bottle than decent beer.
