I'll Drink to That! What is your favorite beverage to have with a cigar? Juice? Cola? Beer? Port? Single Malt Scotch? This room is for the discussion of beverages, especially alcoholic beverages that go well with cigars! |

Yeah. And when I open them in 10 years they are probably going to be iced tea.

Once had some old bottles of 1972 Lafite Rothschild (yes... there actually WAS some produced from that seriously substandard vintage) that tasted like tea...
Good tea, mind you.

Aberlour a’Bunadh is regularly $80 here in PA. That’s surprising to me that that store normally charges $113.99. I bought a bottle last year and enjoyed it very much, more so at the end when the strength had mellowed a bit.

I haven't bought an a'bunadh in quite some time (the last batch I purchased being No. 23), so I can't speak to the relative quality of more recent releases.
Some members on a whisky site have remarked about sulphury notes being present in recent bottlings (probably derived from some of the ex-Sherry casks used to mature the whisky in). Depending on one's tolerance to this characteristic, it could be a factor in deciding whether or not to purchase.
