Bulk spices
Anyone have any sources for good quality spices in bulk ??
Not looking for crazy type spices. Just the standard stuff for the most part... Grtrx , is Spanish paprika much different than Hungarian? Dan |

All you need to know. Penzeys is good as well, but more expensive. Their blends are good. Especially like the North Woods seasoning.

Oh, hell yes there are differences in paprikas based on origin. You could write a book on that subject alone.

there are differences on pimenton from manufacturer to manufacturer that can be quite pronounced
remember bulk spices don't retain their flavors forever, they don't always save you money

Agreed. The ones I use liberally are better bought in bulk. Anchor and guadillo (so?) Chile's are an example. Worcestershire and vinegar powders are highly used too.
