Keeping my humidor warm

Hey guys newer to cigars but just got my humidor seasoned and stocked up. It is a 40-50 cigar. My wife and I are warm people so our house stays around 60. I am looking for some ideas that people have used to keep their temp up when in a colder climate. Also I’m not having an issue keeping consistent humidity.
Thanks in advance.

I think you are probably ok. I'd be more worried about hot or lots of fluctuations than cold. If location within your house is flexible and you are concerned, you could look for a warmer spot. I'm thinking of above the fridge.

You don't have to keep the temp up. 60ish is good. Welcome to CW!

Thank you guys. I read that it needed to keep it about 70. Is it just personal preference or just keep the humidity about 68-70?

Humidity is personal preference. Lots of people like to keep the humidity lower, such as 65 percent or lower.

Several coolers in my basement that hold boxes of cigars for long term storage are usually around 62 degrees and 65 percent humidity, which is fine by me. It does not sound like you have anything to be concerned about, as others have mentioned.

as they all have said you are doing fine. I would worry much more about high temps than cool. Some people even freeze their cigars before storing so you are fine.

70& humidity is much talked about but a lot of us like a little lower as it seems to make for a better burn and better taste. In the UK you see 65% a lot.

Sixty degrees?!?
My thermostat is on 69 and I'm wearing sweats and a hat.

Mister life, humidity is far more important than temps, but keep it ranging from fifty to 75, imo, at proper 65 percent humidity.

Do not make the mistake of putting a wooden humidor in a dry, drafty heated area, keep it in a stable place. They are all made of fiberboard now, but even fiberboard isn't stable enough for uneven climate and constant swings.

My coolers are on the outside wall of my basement. They rarely break 70, usually stay above 50, hold constant humidity, and seem to keep the contents well.

It's good to meet you.
