I tried the one from lowes that you guys are talking about and it did not move enough air to clear the room of smoke. My room is about 20 X 24.

For a little more money this fan does a hell of a job. I run it on med speed while smoking and the noise is not noticeable. I like it because it permeantly mounts in the window with 4 screws and the window is still operable with the fan in place.

After smoking, I turn the fan off and turn on the Ionic Breeze air cleaner and within 15-20 min there is NO smell in the room
