How about ordered in vegetarian Indian food? Real enough?

(We actually have a couple of excellent East Indian restaurants in our immediate vicinity.)

Vegetable pakora (a mixture of vegetables coated in batter and deep-fried)
Eggplant (fried aubergine) bhaji
Vegetable rice pulao
Tarka dal (lentils)

Very tasty and satisfying, in fact. Meat lover though I am, I don't at all mind going vegetarian on a regular basis.

OK... Back to MEAT! Rib-eye roast. Seasoned mini potatoes tossed with extra virgin olive oil. Mixed vegetables (green beans, multi-coloured carrots, red pepper) tossed with sesame oil. Wine: Domaine Bessa 2013 Enira (a superb Bulgarian blend of Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon).

Long-simmered brisket chili last night and tonight. Might make skillet cornbread to go with it tonight. Decent batch even for chili haters like me.

BBQ is still always in my fridge. You have to love a diet that let's you eat all the BBQ you can hold, even if it can't be dripping in sauce or on a bun.
