Which is why I usually use a dark rum for mojitos. It makes for a better rum taste in the drink. Not Myers, mind you, or even bacardi dark, although bacardi select works well. Try a mojito made with HC Blanco, then another made with HC 7. You can see how the spirit will make all the difference in a mixed drink. I try anything new straight. And things like HC Anejo or Barrel Proof, that is straight, over ice, maybe a splash of a little water.
