They were 1.75" thick... cooked med rare... The place i buy beef only has Prime grade ... so , i dont buy there too often ... but , when i do its good stuff... I bought 3 ribeyes from Kroger a month ago , prepped/cooked the same... there was literally no taste to them at all !! One of the few times i put steak sauce on a steak ... Never again will i buy steaks (i only buy ribeye) from there again... Dan |

Definitely drool-worthy. Amazing how different meats from different sources can be either fantastic or disappointing.

We had NY Strip steaks last night, but Ribeyes are my favorite.

Ribeye is my favorite, second only to flank. Flank cooked rare, juicy, deli pious, but wife hates it. Ribeye, strip, maybe five years ago I bought tenderloin.
Ribeye is convenient. Sam's sells them cheap. |
