That's always a quandary for me. On one hand I want to tell them for future purposes. On the other hand, if they don't know the truth and they are enjoying themselves who am I to interfere.

But, when it's a one time thing, I probably won't say anything. And I certainly wouldn't say it in front of others.

generally anyone who buys a glass top box of Cuban cigars is not a serious cigar smoker. They are on vacation and want to get something special, and in their mind they did.
if I knew someone and they said they were going overseas and asked where to buy I would (and have) warned them to beware fakes as fakes are common and to buy from real dealers not people on the street, etc. when someone asks me "is this fake" I find they usually have an idea the deal was too good to be true.. and if someone is offering fakes up as a big deal to a room of novices... I don't know. Again if it is someone who should no better you can involve them in a discussion and try to figure out what is up. sometimes allowing the bliss of ignorance is not the worst we can do. remember, some people LIKED papayos

It has been many years since I was in Cozumel, but when I was there the glass tops were EVERYWHERE. The street vendors pestered me about buying them. I found telling them I didn’t smoke got them off me. But clearly they were selling this stuff in large volume. Of the ones I saw, the cigars looked terrible.
