There is definitely some Latakia involved, though also some Orientals and of course the Virginia base. In general I do not enjoy Latakia blends. In fact, I have not smoked them for the last 15 years or so. But this is a nice smoke. At times the Latakia is barely noticeable, at other times it predominates. The other leaf is never overpowered, though, the way it sometimes is in English blends. I can smell the chocolate "topping" in the tin, but I can not taste it while I am smoking. This will not replace St. James Flake for me, but it certainly is enjoyable!
