Reviving Dried Out 'Gars

I once got a couple of cigars from 1910. They were totally dry and hard as rocks. I stuck them in my humidor with the rest of my smokes. Within a month they felt just like the rest of my cigars. No split wrappers or anything and they were moist and smokeable. They didn't taste great, but hey, they were from 1910 after all, and they were cheap cigars even then. I'd like to try the same thing with a 1910 Cuban puro! But whenever I've had a dried out cigar I never did anything special, I just stuck it in my humidor and it came out fine.
