Ahh... Wish lists.

I suppose one of those early 1964 Black Bowmores (missed this one by a week or so at my local watering hole ), 1968 ex-Sherry-cask 29 year old Glen Gariochs (practically the consistency of peat soup) or just about any Rare Malts Selection Port Ellen (what a lovely balance between Islay brawn and stylistic complexity) still kicking around would fit the bill. But I do have to agree with you regarding Glenfarclas (be it the 10 you cited, or the 12, 15 or 25!) representing a sage choice.
