An interesting thread - and I'm not sure how i feel on this one.
In addition to buying and smoking tons of cigars, I have also been learning to roll my own (with some lessons...). The first blends I used were relatively mild (like 75% Honduran Seco and 25% Dom ligero), with a relatively tasteless Ecu sumatra binder. I rolled 15 of these and then wrapped them (5 of each) in CT shade, H2000, and Brazilian maduro. While the taste definately varies between the three, I just can't give it a percentage. Now I'm trying it with a 50/50 blend of both Honduran and Nicaraguan ligero (a much stronger blend) - so I'll give them about a month and see what happens. The only thing I'm sure of is that there is a most definate taste difference between the cigars with the different wrappers - I just don't know how much.
