Don't usually buy stuff for myself...
...but I was buying Christmas presents on Amazon, and ran across this:
Mark Kurlansky wrote the best sellers Salt and Cod. I bought, for the library his Basque History of the World at the request of a faculty member. The Food of a Younger Land : A Portrait of American Food--Before the National Highway System, Before Chain Restaurants, and Before Frozen Food, When the Nation's Food Was Seasonal I've a novel to finish, hopefully tonight, then I tackle this. I haven't tackled non-fiction in a while.
