This year it's a spiced ale. It's a rich tasting brown ale, not too sticky sweet, and light on the hops. There is cinnamon and ginger in it, and it really enhances the sweetish ale. I found, however, that the spices receded into the background about every second or third bottle. Maybe I was having problems picking up the aroma.

I suggest it. Don't mistake this for their usual wheat, it's a real ale. A lighter, smoother Belgian, it seems. It ought to mull well.

Taste. It reminded me of Sam Adams fezziweg. The lack of burning, powerful hops was a nice change. Of course, some people will find that to be a flaw.

Not me. That's how I like my beer. Minimal wheat, minimal hops, all malt.

I like Fezziwig, but hate having to buy a sampler pack to get three of them.

Sam has sold fezziweg by the six pack several times in the past ten years or so.

Try the moon, and maybe, if it's less potent than you want, drop a bit of hoppier pale ale in it.

This isn't fezziweg, and it's not too close, they aren't meant to. Seriously, check around the stores and see if fezziweg is available.
