Ok, what's wrong with smoking a cigar inside, in your own ho

I've seen several posters emphasize, "I don't smoke in the house". Well, there's nothing wrong with that position. I'm not criticizing anybody that doesn't smoke in their house. It is their choice. I'm just saying when I see lots of messsages that start with, "I don't smoke inside", like it's a badge of honor, it sort of implies that smoking inside is evil or bad. Even though that is probably not the intent.
Has the PC crowd gotten to our mindset to the extent we must feel apologetic if we do (heavens!...) smoke *inside* our homes?
What's next....I *never* fart inside the house!
I am wondering what is wrong with smoking in my house, in front of kids? Other an objection to lingering odor,my wife doesn't complain. I've pretty much solved the lingering odor problem anyhow. A combo of an Oreck Air purifier and a floor model HB machine works great in combo for some reason.
My wife grew up with a father who smoked cigarettes in his house. She has 1 sister, 3 brothers...and NONE of them have ever had any illness or problems supposedly caused by 2nd hand smoke. (and all the kids are in their 40s)
I love my children dearly and would not do anything that I even *thought* might endanger their health. I do not believe exposure to cigar smoke is harmful to them. As for smoking in front of the kids,I don't think their seeing me with a cigar is wrong. There is nothing wrong; morally, spiritually or legally with smoking a cigar and I refuse to act like it is.
Now there are *some* things that I don't do in front of kids, ,but I see nothing wrong with smoking a cigar in front of them. Then again, that's my choice. If someone else doesn't like to smoke in front of their kids, that's their choice and I respect that.
I just don't think we should feel apologetic about either choice.
FWIW.
