Fresh roast +8 question
Well, I've returned home following being out of town for about a week. From a previous post you may have deduced that one of the first things I needed to do was roast more beans.
Loaded up the FR+8 with two scoops of Puna Moon twisted the timer and...she no workie. Fan no workie, heating element no workie. Timer clicks along quite happily. While I have not taken the time to measure it as I'm tired after a long drive. I'm wondering how sensitive this roaster is to line voltage. Given that household VAC can vary somewhat, and this is Saturday night, was wondering if there is perhaps a sensing circuit that prevents operation of the FR+8 below a certain VAC level? Seems an odd thing to have in such a simple device but I find it equally odd that it would just quit working after a week of non-use. Thanks, Jester
