I'll Drink to That! What is your favorite beverage to have with a cigar? Juice? Cola? Beer? Port? Single Malt Scotch? This room is for the discussion of beverages, especially alcoholic beverages that go well with cigars!

Absolutely agree.

The only potential 'danger' I foresee in such a project is the possibility that Parker's considerable influence might render some of the already well established best-buys as well as some of the up-and-coming stars (which currently represent excellent bangs-for-the-buck) more costly, even above and beyond the natural tendency for the prices of such wines to escalate incrementally.

The positive side of the equation is that this sort of treatise would help individual consumers to see past the mystique that surrounds many upper echelon wines and concentrate more on the specific merits of the contents of the bottle in front of them.

Having witnessed a ten-fold increase (and more) in the prices of many of my old favourites, I'm already well down this road of exploration. The south of France, Chile, Argentina and Uruguay are but a few of the shining lights in this arena of discovery.
