Tito's Vodka
A brother in law brought a bottle of Tito's Vodka to the Easter get together at the M I L's. I didn't know anything about it and was skeptical of a vodka from Austin, Texas. Boy, was I wrong to be skeptical. Ultra smooth is an inadequate term. I'm thinking that now that micro brewing is so widespread that micro distilling may very well be the next area to expand. apparently Tito's is distilled six times which is why it's so smooth. If you're into vodka you really ought to try this.

Titos is my go to vodka
My BIL spent some time in Poland and is a fan of Belvedere. I did a blind tasting of Titos and Belvedere in Glencarin glasses. Both time he and my wife choice Titos. Me I couldn't tell them apart. Unlike other vodkas they were both pretty tasteless. In the world of vodka there is maybe 5% difference between them. They are suppose to be distilled to 95% ethanol by law. Although some don't make it that high

While I prefer potato vodkas, this is my go to vodka whenever we have a party.
Has anyone tried BLUE ICE American Potato Vodka?

Years ago we did a blind Vodka taste, and Titos came out as the top pick, over the other mainstream ones at the time, Kettle One, Greygoose, etc
Good stuff

Just purchased a fresh bottle for a friend who's gluten-sensitive and likes dirty martinis. Hope it's still as good as I remember it being.

I'm not a huge Vodka fan, but...
...I have to wholeheartedly agree with your assessment. I feel the fact that it's corn-based does seem to contribute an underlying subtle sweetness to the spirit. No denying the quality!

As they say, vodka is vodka (unless it's that flavored crap). I defy anyone to differentiate between, say Absolute ($18) and my dear old Romanoff ($8)

I have to respectfully disagree. I concur with jazznut that Tito's has a very subtle sweetness to it and is silky smooth. Last night I tried a similar presentation with some cheap vodka I keep in the house because she who must be obeyed likes the occasional screwdriver. There is a difference!
