It's official now, I picked up an estate pipe yesterday on the way home, a Lorenzetti 3/4 apple or cognac, quite a nice wide thin bit. A couple pouches of the local mix and away I went! Tried the Frank method of packing, not too bad for a first attempt, had a couple of relights but all in all a success! Quite mild in comparison to the cigars I'm used to, and sweet. But a lot better aroma. Was really guarding from tongue bite and overheating, could feel a bit on my tongue this morning. Can't wait to try the other blend tonight. It's heavy on Latakia with some Cuban cigar and Glenfiddich!
