I had the headphones on the other day listening to RadioParadise. On comes Nirvana's Teen Spirit. In spite of how overplayed it was, I still think it's a brilliant song, and really was a changing force in popular music. But I couldn't listen to it. Kurt Cobain's short life reminds me of my 20 year old son. I have a bipolar son, who is brilliant, incredibly creative, and lives life absolutely balls-to-the-wall. His highs are in the atmosphere, his lows are in the depths of hell. He's in his own world, and we can't begin to join him or reach him there. That song at this time just gave me a glimpse into a future nightmare I hope none of us has to endure.
