Flor de A. Allones / JR Library Edition
Flor de A. Allones
JR Library Edition (45 X 6.25) Wrapper: EcSu Filler: Hon/Nic Age: Unknown. In humidor for approx. 1 year A good looking cigar with a rustic, hearty wrapper. Construction so-so, a couple mushy spots and a totally free draw (basically no resistance). Pre-light draw was a light musty-earth flavor. It lit up just fine. The first few puffs were just awful, a stinging bitter-tobacco flavor with a metallic, flinty aftertaste that coated the tongue. I kept pushing on, "it will get better,... it will get better..." I kept thinking. It stayed the same. I made it about 1/3 of the way and gave up and pitched it. This was the worst cigar I've smoked in recent memory. It was just flat-out terrible. Hope it was a isolated clunker as I usually read good things about this brand. It certainly had plenty of humidor time. However, with this experience, I'll be hard pressed to ever light one up again. |
