The Melanio Maduro
Prelight - The wrapper is a very nice dark brown, with few viens. The prelight draw gave a light chocolate and mild leather flavor.
Ash & Burn - The ash was solid with a gray/black in color. I knocked of the ash at the one inch mark, I didn't want it to fall off in my lap. I'm sure the ash would have stayed on longer, but I just didn't want to take the chance. The burn was even and produced no problems.
The Cigar - The Melanio started off with a mild to medium stength with a light chocolate and coffee flavor profile. The first 1/3 of the cigar has remained the same as when I started the cigar, not much change in flavor or strength. The draw was smooth and easy with each draw. Half way through the strength has increased to a medium strength, and I've picked up a slight charcole taste thrown in. 3/4 of the way through there is no change in flavor or strength. The cigar stayed the same until the end of the cigar.
Conclusion - A decent cigar. I was hoping for more strength from this cigar. The flavor profile was good but I would like more of a variety throughtout this cigar. The flavor profile just never develpoed into anything that really made this cigar interesting. I'd give the Melanio Maduro ab 85.
