an experiment
Not that this is very exciting but I thought it was a little interesting.
I have an old Medico filter pipe that was given to me as a gift. (The model is called Guardsman) I dont smoke it very often. I was in my basement organizing my pipe tobaccos and found a tin of Dunhill Mixture Mild. I neverliked it always found it to be very harsh. Well I cleaned up the medico, put a fresh filter in and filled the bow with Mixture Mild. It turned an crappy smoke into a somewhat decent smoke, lol Guess my point is the filter did tke the edge off it. My next experiment will be to try Nightcap (which I absolutely love!) in it and see if it takes away from the tastiness.

Chess, if the blend has aged, that may have something to do with the difference in the smoke. I like to let my pipe bacci age at least a year before smoking them. samiam

Sam, you're probably right. I guess I disliked that blend so much when I first tried it, I didn't think time, or anything else could make it better. lol
