Key Largo

Picked up a tin of the 'new' GLPease Key Largo the other day and have smoked a couple bowls of it.

Not at all what I expected reading the description on the tin.

It may be the fact that I do not have a lot of experience with "English" blends or that I do not care for latakia, but it seems that latakia is all that I taste. Latakia always tastes like burning paper to me, which is a real turn off (yet I keep trying blends containing small amounts of it!).

I will say that the aroma is very nice - not as nice as my favorite Fillmore - but enjoyable none the less.

I'll give it a little more time, maybe I'll come around to it. Since it contains some cigar leaf, I really want to like it - I just can't get past the latakia. When I read the description on the tin, however, I'm always eager to give it another chance!

Has anyone else tried Key Largo?
