Al Stewart- "Year of the Cat" Album. Cool melodies and exemplary word imagery. His lyrics can paint such a vivid image in your mind, that you can almost sense it. Not all performers have that skill.

1976's "Year of the Cat" was amazingly Stewart's 7th(!) studio album. But, it was well worth the wait, as it went to top 5 and earned Platinum status in the US. Previously, he was well known in the UK and abroad. He followed YOTC, in 1978 with "Time Passages" with that album going into the top 10 and also earning Platinum status. His last US charting album was "24 Carrots" in 1980. He has released a total of 16 LP's worldwide between the years 1967 through 2008. He still does the occasional one of show in England, but he is effectively retired at this time.
