Graduation prep
So my daughter is going to be graduating highscool in May. She is a great kid, attends an engineering program and is currently trying to get an internship with a national lab. She is growing into quite the little leader and we are really proud of her, as I am sure most parents are of their kids. We also feel like we (parents and our family) put a lot of work into her successes throughout school, so graduation is a happy day for all involved.
So, we intend to have quite the blowout at our house after graduation. We will have family members from out of town and lots of local friends. I want to get a special box of cigars for the occasion. I usually smoke PDR, CAO, and lately some MF, but I really want to get something special for this. I'm interested in your opinions on the matter. What would you get? Something like OpusX? Eye of the Shark? Am I shooting too low? Something unmentionable?

Don't waste money on folks who don't regularly smoke. Buy a box of solid medium-bodied smokes such as AF 898 or Punch Roths for the guests. Honestly, most folks who even take one won't finish it, and you won't be crying softly when you're emptying the ashtrays the next day.
Then buy a box of unmentionables for yourself and enjoy one each year on her birthday or anniversary. |

In the interest of full disclosure... there will be like two of us smoking cigars. The graduation is a good excuse to get an extra nice box. Anything left over is clearly mine to smoke

There you go, good thinking. PDR Conn Valley Reserves are really great cigars.

I would recommend something from Dunbarton. Won't break the bank and gosh they're fantastic cigars.
Congrats on the graduation. You summed up well how I felt when my oldest graduated.
