Adding weather stripping to an Antietam

I picked up an antietam from one of the guys here last year. I use it for singles mostly, since my MxT stores my boxes. I tried adding weather stripping around the door this past week and the damn thing wouldn't lock after I did this. I bought the thinist stripping that home depot had, which is 3/16" vinyl foam weatherseal. I was just trying to get a better seal around the door. Any ideas?
