Gawith Brothers under one roof after over a century apart
last week I was checking out the availability of some of my favorite Samuel Gawith and Gawith and Hoggarth pipe tobaccos. I noticed they are all available but I could not order until Saturday. I thought, looks like I am going to miss out on these offerings yet again. Usually when these tobaccos are available, they run out in a day. On Saturday, I checked to see if these tobaccos were still available, and to my surprise, they were still in stock. So I placed an order for two 250 gram boxes of Best Brown Flake, and two 250 gram boxes of St. James Flake. Wow, this vendor must have received the mother load inventory. What gives? Most shops complain they cannot get enough SG or GH for their customers. Now they all seem to have a good inventory of these brands.
I was told SG and GH merged and are now under one roof. The two companies merged in 2015. This would explain how tobacco shops are able to keep these products stocked in their shops. Looks like this merger was a good move. Here's a great article about the merger... http://pipesmagazine.com/blog/pipe-n...ger-confirmed/
