But wait, there's more. All kidding aside I made a pot roast,,tender as anything, seared the outside of the meat, sautéed onions,,,all in one pot in about an hour. I tend to work crazy hours and it's nice to know I can stop at the supermarket on the way home, put a meal up, get some stuff done and let it cook unattended while I do other things

Nah, it's cool. I'm just in a good mood and wanted to screw around a little. It slices, it dices, it even makes julianne fries!

As a crock pot or pressure cooker alone I would have uses for one. Waiting for them to reach 40 bucks.
A pressure cooker is really good for poor cuts of meat like Chuck. I've used it for several things. I just cooked pinto beans, and that thing would be amazing for that. |

Made a delicious pot roast using a 3lb piece of chuck steak, with mushrooms, carrots, onions, mushrooms, white & sweet potatoes last week. Easy, quick and tasty. Family loved it. The instant pot is great for beans and rice also. (no need to soak beans overnight). And it sounds crazy, but I'm going to make a cheesecake in it this weekend.
