Boveda Humidipak info

I purchased an AF Humidor Bag in May 2004. It contains a Boveda Humidipak to maintain the RH at 70%. It's supposed to work for 6 months, but mine was working perfectly up until a couple of weeks ago. I only used it when I traveled, which is not that often. So, it remained sealed and empty most of the time.

Well, I went on a weekend trip a few weeks back and when I got home and put the cigars I hadn't used back in the humidor I forgot to reseal the bag. The humidipak became stone dry.

So, I figured, what do I have to loose. I dampened a paper towel with distilled water and stuck it in the bag. After a couple of hours, I took it out and placed the humidipak in my aristocrat mini, which is set at 65%.

The short of it is that the humdipak is now working perfectly again. The bag is staying rock solid at 70%. Although they are not advertised as such, it appears that they are reuseable.
