I purchased a very nice custom humidor about a year ago. The humidor quickly came up to 70% humidity and has had cigars in it about that length of time. I've noticed my stored cigars seem slightly crisp to the touch compared to new cigars I purchase. Not too much of a problem but would like to address this before it is a problem. I would also prefer to smoke my cigars more like they arrive from the shop. My hydrometer reading dropped slightly from 70% to 66% during the winter with the furnace on but returned to 70% quickly this spring. Should I get a digital hydrometer? Any other advice? I would like to store these cigars for a lengthy period as I only smoke a few a week. Thanks in advance.
