Smoked an Old Opus X Today

Has to be at least a decade old. Thought maybe, just maybe it finally wasn't a nicotine bomb. True, now that I aged it for Fuente it has mellowed out. And "mellowed" is an understatement. What a bland, boring cigar. This cigar has no backbone. It reminded me if Camacho Diplomas (which, unlike Opus, were outstanding when new) in that it has no aging potential.
Which makes me wonder why Cuban tobacco only improves with age and it would seem all other cigars don't.
