La Imperiosa Double Robusto

1/24/2016

La Imperiosa Double Robusto 6-3/8x50 (Crown Heads)

Price- $8.33

Wrapper- Ecuador Habono Oscuro

Binder & Filler- 100% Nicaraguan Tobacco.

I smoked this cigar while particpating in a Sunday Cigar Herf hosted by Robusto Cigar Babe (@robustoBabe) & *(@cigarchairman) on twitter

Pre-Light- Cold draw I got hints of chocolate, spice and some pepper *The cigar is a beauty. *It’s dark and and oily.

1st Third- *I lit the cigar and smoked it a regular cadence. *The chocolate/coco was present. *The aroma was phenomenal. *I was picking up some cinnamon throughout the smoke. *Chocolate and cinnamon what a good combo. *The cigar was smoky and the burn line was straight. *I was sipping water with this cigar. *Some spice begin to kick in. *I retrohaled *and there were no signs of pepper present. *Towards the end of the 1st third a little cedar flavor was present. I was getting slight hints of pepper on the back of my palate.

2nd Third- *The 2nd third the pepper was present and strong. *The coco was still there. *The burn was still going good . *The aroma was nice and pleasant. *Nice ash that was tight and gray.

Final Third- *I got a blast of the coco and pepper starting the final third. *The burn line was starting to get wavy but it eventually straightened itself out. *The coco and pepper is now gone and I’m picking up a fruit taste along with some leather.

The La Imperiosa by Crown Heads is a nice cigar. *I would definitely buy some again. *The cigar showed some complexity. *I would definitely keep a few in my humidor to smoke. *I would definitely recommend them.

Overall Score- *90/100
