My mojito recipe!
I thought I'd submit this for your approval
Black Plague's Mojito Recipe: 2 oz. white or light rum (make sure it's quality stuff ) 3-4 sprigs of mint 2 teaspoons of sugar 1 whole lime roughly 1 oz. Rose's Sweetened Lime Juice 4-6 ice cubes club soda Half the lime, squeeze one of the halves' juice into a bowl (it helps to microwave the lime half for a few seconds to really release all the juice), then add leaves from the mint sprigs, Rose's, and sugar. Muddle the mixture with the back of a spoon or muddling stick (don't tear the leaves, just squash them to release the oil, you'll know you're doing it when you start to smell the mint). Pour the mixture into your glass (either a collins glass or a pint glass). Pour rum into bowl to soak up any residual juices and pour into glass. Cut the remaining lime half into four or five slices and add to glass. Add ice cubes (don't use crushed ice, as this will dilute the cocktail too much). Fill with club soda and stir a few times. Garnish with mint sprig and enjoy! Hope you guys like my recipe. The Rose's is my secret little ingredient, so you can use the remaining lime half to cut up and allow it to slowly soak into the mixture (and also it looks nicer in a clear glass than a squashed-up lime hull). Let me know what you think! |
