Cult Pigtail Gordo

Nice tobacco and vanilla aromas from the wrapper, more of the same from the foot and the generous draw after clean clip. Fairly firm bunch speaks of a well constructed cigar.

Anyone familiar with the Cult name will recognize the mild start on this cigar with hints of more to come. Paired tonight with a Topo Chico (again) to give what I perceive as milder cigars a chance to shine with no beer interference.

A very clean burn is producing a solid medium grey ash. The burn is also nice and even. The notes so far remind me of some of the better pipe tobaccos, with a nice room aroma and flavorful smoke.

This is a very light to medium bodied smoke, a bit unexpected with the medium brown wrapper. The smoke is exhibiting flavors of toasted tobacco and light leather notes with some almond in the background. So far a nice complex smoke that is smooth and pleasant.

The firm ash held past the first inch when I tapped it because of the windy conditions. The construction of the cigar is very solid, well above expectations.

Very light pepper notes on the retrohale, although the windiness of the evening may have rushed the smoke out not giving me the full effect of the strength.

After the first third the smoke is offering mild to medium mouth smoke with leather and tobacco and some pepper on the retrohale. The windiness of the evening is making it difficult to judge. I may have to revisit this cigar on a calmer day.

The ring doesn't want to let go at this point, so I may have to stop my review when the very even burn reaches the band.

This is a nice mild to medium bodied cigar with a decent mix of flavors that remains smooth and cool throughout. I was honestly hoping for more body to the cigar given my past experience with Cult products, but overall it is still a nice complex if light to medium cigar with good flavors and it earns a 9.5/10. Joe Bob says check it out.
