MJ Frias Perfect Smoke Toro

Somewhat veiny yet fragrant Connecticut wrapper with mostly understated tobacco notes from the foot. Firm bunch with a perfect cold draw.

Initial medium+ smoke promises a cigar that is not as mild as it looks. Plentiful smoke with a solid toasted tobacco base and some flavor notes I have not yet identified. Light black pepper on the retrohale. A nice solid ash and a good even burn, which is conical when ashed.

The burn and the pepper notes indicate some ligero that I didn't see when I inspected the foot and make the cigar more complex than I initially expected.

At two thirds the pepper notes have picked up, although not overwhelming the flavor. The tobacco notes are consistent and the mystery notes are now reminding me of well blended cigar tobacco with a light bite that adds to the enjoyment.

This cigar is a good example of a light wrapper that delivers more than one might expect.

Approaching the final inch the cigar remains very smooth and rich. This is a very consistent cigar. Excellent construction and burn earns this 8/10. Joe Bob says check it out.
