I was gifted both a natural and a maduro of this cigar by Poohdvm while in Little Rock this week. After finishing a Fuente Don Carlos Double Robusto, I decided to try the maduro. Presentation was very good - a nice cedar wrap, that when removed, exposed a beautiful wrapper that was medium dark with good construction. Nice presmoke aroma, and the cap cut very cleanly.
Then, I lit this thing, and it was yummy!! Since I am a big Fuente fan, I expected this cigar to be a bit of a let down after the Don Carlos. I was quite surprised to find myself smoking this little cigar down to the nub. The taste was great throughout, opening up a bit in the second half. The next day, I chose the natural for my first cigar of the evening. Again, good presentation, construction, pre-smoke aroma, etc. And, again, just a great taste from the first draw to the last. I've been getting more and more picky about my cigars lately, and not expecting a cigar to surprise me. But, these HdM 135s were just plain good!! I was pleasantly surprised! Thanks for the yummy cigars Greg! George
