Talisker 10 Year Old 'Replay'

I've recently been working my way through a bottle of 10-year old Talisker. And last night, it dawned on me just how much I've been enjoying this whisky. I first tasted it way back in the 1980s. But gradually, it seemed to shed a bit of its luster, even going through periods when it appeared to be dulling down a tad and losing its peppery, peaty edge. Not lately, though. In fact, Talisker 10 Year Old may be my favourite of all the standard-age, standard-strength malts in Diageo's Classic Malts series at this moment (even supplanting Lagavulin 16 Year Old). Perfect winter warmer upper. And pretty uplifting on a cool autumn day on the links, too.
