Jimmy pipe!
I bought this French Briar and amber last week and cleaned it up. It's small, yet it yields a surprisingly long smoke. It's from about 1910-ish.
It looks a lot like the pipe in this 1913 Prince Albert ad. As near as I can figure, Jimmy is an old Scottish slang word for good. Or good performing maybe. Anyone know? |
