Rocky Patel 1990 Vintage Seconds
I bought a bundle of churchills from CBid and had my first yesterday. Here are my thoughts...
Construction/Draw: Not too bad for a second. In fact, I couldn't discern any major blemishes or problems with the wrapper. The cigar burned even to the end. Flavor: Here's where I was a bit disappointed. These are really mild for me. I mean, REALLY MILD. The flavors weren't too bad...earthy and nutty. Went great with some Cuban espresso. Unfortunately, no spice to be found. I also found it rather one-dimensional. I was expecting at least a small kick toward the middle that never came. All told, it's not a bad cigar for $2 a cigar. However, the flavor/strength profile may turn some people off who are expecting a bit more OOMPH..
