This 6.12 x 50 cigar was taken from a box which I purchased upon their initial release from JR. (early April..2001) The wrappers on the initial release cigars are real dark and real nice. This cigar is made well.with only a slight soft spot about half way down. The draw is a bit tight..but I attribute that to the fact that it was just removed from my long term againg cabinet which is currently at 72%RH. The burn has been dead on even. This cigar is very spicey..with a lot of real nice rich complex flavors. I would call it full bodied and something that has aged real nicely. The initial ligero burst I got many months ago has toned down a bit which allows the other flavors to come through and shine. I have been back oand forth on this size...some versions I have smoked have been lacking ligero...not this one...it's a real tastey smoke with plenty of zip. The cigar will probably improve with even more time....I'm thinking another 4 to 6 months...but it's a real pleasure to smoek and enjoy right now. I like them a lot..glad I bought so many upon the initial release too...the later releases had much lighter colored wrappers. As with VSG..I find on this line.the darker the wrapper..the tastier the cigar. Perect with my cup of coffee..and would do fine after a big meal as well. That's it..cya later..back to work.
