depends on how much you want to spend. I've been grooving on french press the past several weeks, often mixed with good old brewed from the cuisinart (a financial decision, not what I wanted but what I could afford, it replaced a very much loved - to death - capresso)

Get a pour over pot and start drinking great coffee. $12-15 and you're in business!

Been using a French Press for years and won't do anything else! Makes a great cup of coffee. I bought the wife a Technivorm Mocca Master several months ago and she loves it.

My wife just brought home a new drip coffee maker to replace the older Cuisinart we had. I was also using a Cuisinart Burr Grinder, so she picked up the new Cuisnart Super Combo Model DGB-900BC.
  • 24-hour fully programmable coffeemaker with 12-cup capacity
  • Double-wall insulated thermal carafe; built-in automatic burr grinder
  • Strength selector and grind control fine-tune intensity and volume
  • 8-ounce bean hopper; auto shutoff; water filter; brew-pause function

I was a little skeptical at first, but after using it now for a few weeks I am getting consitantly good brews and using the timer is convienant for having the coffee ready for me when I leave in the morning.

I also wanted a Thermal Carafe, so I would stop cooking the coffee on the weekends.

Overall this has proved to be a pretty good unit.
