beer drinker for a darn long time, used to brew my own, used to be a bit of a hop head, now while the microbrew world seems to be going hop crazy, I am caring less and less for hop twang and stronger alcohol content.

I drink quite a lot of stouts and some porters, pretty well set there, but my everyday brew is Alaskan Amber. It's nothing fantastic, but just a quaffable malty non-highly hopped mainstay that goes down well for me. Also not real high in alcohol, 5-6% is just fine. I'd like to branch out from here, but this gives the idea of how little hoppiness I prefer.

Also had some smutty nose brown dog ale the other day that I quite liked.

Whaddya like for less hoppy, medium alcohol, flavorful brews?

Thanks, good one for sure, also used to be a mainstay years ago but I tired of it. It has a bit too much bitter bite for me.

Sierra Nevada Tumbler. the oktoberfest beers are heavy on malt, light on hops

Fullers London Pride

If you can find a Vienna style lager...

I would think amber ales of many knds would work for you

My "every day" beer along these lines is Sam Adams Lager.
