I've searched quite a bit, and most of the info, even on coffeegeek, doesn't seem to address the problem. I've used a Cory vacuum pot before, but it had a very diffent filtering mechanism. This automatic has the glass rod. The other one had a round metal disk, with small square holes in it. It fit in top, over the hole, and used the spring mechanism for tension like the glass rod.
The problem is grind. I could use just about any grind with the other mechanism, but whatever grind I use with the glass rod, only about 2/3 to 3/4's of the coffee gets down to the bottom pot. If I run a cycle WITHOUT coffee, just water, it's fine. I need some suggestions on grind, I believe. Or is it possible that I need to adjust the tension on the spring?
